The route starts at the entrance sign of Wilson Trail and Hong Kong Trail near Parkview. Comparing with the Tai Tam to Tai Koo (Tai Tam Reservoir Section), the Jardine's Lookout Section is hillier and requires higher physical fitness and endurance. In addition to the more open scenery, there are also several historical and war relics along the way. Climb up the stairs from the starting point to Jardine's Lookout, where you can enjoy the bustling scenery of Victoria Harbour and the city. Then descend along the winding path to the col and climb up again to Mount Butler. This section of the trail slowly takes you away from the bustling city into the tranquillity of the countryside. When you reach the highest point of the route, Mount Butler Viewing Point, you can enjoy the stunning view of Tai Tam Reservoir and the coastline of the Southern district which makes you feel refreshed. As the scenery changes, let your mind relax and enjoy the sense of calm that nature brings upon you. After enjoying the view, descend to Quarry Gap where two historic relics deeply connected to the former Taikoo Company Town still exist, as if witnessing the vicissitudes of Mount Parker.

Slowly descending along the tree-shaded Mount Parker Road, a military shelter from the World War II era is quietly standing in a corner. Although the years of war have long passed, some relics could still be found in this area. When you reach the entrance of the Quarry Bay Tree Walk, turn right and follow the trail. There are still several historical sites waiting for you to explore.
