Country Parks Facilities - What's New

Due to maintenance work, Net House located at Lions Nature Education Centre, Sai Kung will be temporarily closed from 2 October 2024 until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. For any inquiry, please contact our staff at 2792 2234.

To facilitate grave sweepers, and to ensure smooth vehicular traffic movements and pedestrian safety during Chung Yeung Festival, the Police will implement special traffic arrangement at the section of catchment road between Lui Kung Tin (Route Twisk) and Kap Lung from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm on 6 October and 11 October 2024. The measures may affect people going to Tai Lam Country Park. Members of the public are advised to use public transport.

Due to footpath / slope repairing work, footpath of Plover Cove Country Park as shown below is temporarily closed from 28 August 2024 until further notice. For safety concern, please do not enter the closed section. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Due to landslide, Tai Mong Tsai Barbecue Area Site 6 is temporarily closed for clearance from 23^rd August 2024 until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Due to landslides and fallen trees caused by typhoon and rainstorm, certain forest tracks and trails within Shing Mun Country Park are temporarily closed for maintenance until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Due to facilities reconstruction works, the below rain shelter in Aberdeen Country Park is temporarily closed until further notice. Please use the rain shelters nearby if necessary. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

The Tai Tam Tuk public toilet within Tai Tam Country Park will be temporarily closed for reconstruction works from 19 August 2024 (Monday) until further notice.  Visitors may use the temporary public toilets nearby.  Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

The public toilet next to Pak Tam Chung Kiosk is temporarily closed due to maintenance. Please use the public toilet next to Pak Tam Chung P.H.A.B. Site if necessary.

Due to landslide, a road section of Yung Pak Corridor (see attached map) has been temporarily closed from 11^th May 2024 until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

The construction works of Po Pin Chau Viewing Platform and the associated hiking facilities near East Dam, High Island Reservoir, in Sai Kung East Country Park will commence on 6 May 2024. The project is targeted to complete by the end of this year. Certain areas along the path leading to the viewing point of Po Pin Chau will be closed in phase until completion of the project. Please do not enter the closed areas for safety concern. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Due to facilities enhancement works, the Aberdeen Country Park Refreshment Kiosk is temporarily closed until further notice. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

The Lin Ma Hang Mine Cave at Lin Ma Hang Country Trail is being revitalized. The project is targeted to complete by the end of 2024. The main cave and its surrounding is closed until completion of the project. Please do not enter the closed area for safety concern.  Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Due to typhoon and heavy rain, the footpath is blocked by fallen trees and landslide.  Part of the footpath is damaged with risk of landslide.  Nam Chung Country Trail is temporarily closed from 11 September 2023 until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Due to fallen trees and landslides caused by typhoon and heavy rain, part of Hok Tau Reservoir Family Walk is temporarily closed for clearance from 9 September 2023 until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Due to fallen trees and landslides caused by typhoon and heavy rain, Yellow Walk (excluding forest track) at Tai Po Kau Nature Reserve is temporarily closed for clearance from 9 September 2023 until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Due to landslide caused by heavy rain, part of Hong Kong Forest Track – Boa Vista Track Section is temporarily closed for maintenance from 9 September 2023 until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Due to reconstruction works, a part of the Shing Mun Forest Track – Tai Shing Stream Section as shown on the map is temporarily closed to all vehicles from 14 August 2023 until further notice. Hikers will not be affected. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Due to potential risk of landslide, the footpath from Shap Long Campsite to Shap Long Chung Hau as shown on the map is temporarily closed from 10 March 2023 until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. Visitors may choose alternative hiking trail.

The public toilet at Tai Long Sai Wan beach will be temporarily closed for maintenance until further notice. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Farmland rehabilitation within private lots in Yi O Kau Tsuen and Yi O San Tsuen is in progress, the land owners do not allow unauthorized access to those villages. The affected sections of Lantau Trail Section 7 passing through those villages will be diverted. Visitors who wish to come and go to Fan Lau, Kau Ling Chung or Tai O are advised to choose alternative routes as shown on the maps at scene.
