Country Parks Facilities - What's New

Certain forest tracks and trails within the Shing Mun Country Park are temporarily closed for maintenance until further notice (the partially closed trail(s) are indicated on the map below). Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Motorists are advised that to facilitate an event, the section of Tai Mong Tsai Road between Pak Tam Chung Physically Handicapped and Able-bodied Site and Pak Tam Road will be intermittently closed to all vehicular traffic from 8.00 am to 9.00 am on 12 April 2025.

Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.

Due to slope maintenance work, some barbecue facilities at Barbecue Site No. 5 in the Shing Mun Barbecue Area of Shing Mun Country Park will be temporarily closed from 31 March 2025, until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Due to reconstruction works, the children's play equipment in the Nai Chung Barbecue Area within Ma On Shan Country Park is temporarily closed starting from 20 February 2025 until further notice.  We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

The P.H.A.B. Barbecue Site public toilet, refreshment kiosk, and water filling station within Aberdeen Country Park are temporarily closed for reconstruction works from 13 February 2025 (Thursday) until further notice. Due to facilities reconstruction works, the below rain shelter in Barbecue Site No.1 in Tai Tam Country Park (Quarry Bay Extension) is temporarily closed until further notice. Please use rain shelters nearby if necessary.

Due to improvement work, The Climbers, Rock Academy, Rock & Mineral Corner, a grassland next to the Net House located at Lions Nature Education Centre, Sai Kung, will be temporarily closed from 24 December 2024 until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

The Bride’s Pool public toilet within Pat Sin Leng Country Park is temporarily closed for reconstruction works from 28 October 2024 (Monday) until further notice. Visitors may use the temporary public toilet nearby. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Due to potential risk of landslide, the footpath from Shap Long Campsite to Shap Long Chung Hau as shown on the map is temporarily closed from 10 March 2023 until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. Visitors may choose alternative hiking trail.

Due to maintenance works and exhibit renewal, Shing Mun Country Park Visitor Centre is closed from 1^st July 2022 until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

The public toilet at Tai Long Sai Wan beach will be temporarily closed for maintenance until further notice. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Farmland rehabilitation within private lots in Yi O Kau Tsuen and Yi O San Tsuen is in progress, the land owners do not allow unauthorized access to those villages. The affected sections of Lantau Trail Section 7 passing through those villages will be diverted. Visitors who wish to come and go to Fan Lau, Kau Ling Chung or Tai O are advised to choose alternative routes as shown on the maps at scene.
