Pyramid Hill is called as such for a reason – if viewed from the grassy plain of Ngong Ping at an altitude of around 400 metres, it resembles a gigantic golden bell rising from the plateau tinted in autumn colours.  Situated between Ma On Shan and Sai Kung Town at 536 metres, Pyramid Hill sits atop the grassy plain of Ngong Ping, which stretches for 200 metres with uninterrupted views.  The lookout even commands sweeping views of Sai Kung Town, Inner Port Shelter (Sai Kung Hoi), Port Shelter (Ngau Mei Hoi) and its neighbouring islands.
