Begin your adventure by heading towards the Lau Shui Heung Irrigation Reservoir. The journey starts at the stairway entrance of the Lau Shui Heung Country Trail, marking the beginning of the Twin Reservoirs Walk.

For a scenic detour, consider strolling along the flat road entrance of the Lau Shui Heung Country Trail. This area is famously known as the ‘Sky Mirror’, offering stunning reflections of the towering Bald Cypress on the opposite shore. In winter, the crowns of these trees turn a vibrant red, creating a breathtaking sight .

After exploring the ‘Sky Mirror’, return to the trail entrance and ascend the stone stairs. Soon, you will reach a lookout point where you can rest and enjoy the panoramic views of Lau Shui Heung Irrigation Reservoir, Queen’s Hill, and Tai Leng Pei. As you continue upward, take a moment to appreciate the handmade trail beneath your feet, crafted using local materials and eco-friendly methods to blend seamlessly with the natural environment.

Upon reaching the Wilson Trail, the path begins to descend. Turn right at the junction with the Hok Tau Irrigation Reservoir Family Walk. Follow the country trail around Hok Tau Irrigation Reservoir, catching glimpses of the water through the lush foliage. After passing a barbecue site, a short walk reveals the full expanse of Hok Tau Irrigation Reservoir and its dam. Historically, this reservoir was a vital source of irrigation for Hok Tau Wai, known for cultivating the renowned Hok Tau Pak Choi, a vegetable prized for its tender texture and sweet flavor.

Continue from the dam of the reservoir towards the starting point of Hok Tau Irrigation Reservoir Family Walk, located under the stone stairs. From here, turn right and head towards Hok Tau Campsite, completing the Twin Reservoirs Walk.
