Country Parks Facilities - What's New

To facilitate grave sweepers and ensure smooth vehicular traffic and pedestrian safety during the Ching Ming Festival, the Police will implement special traffic arrangement on a section of the catchment road between Lui Kung Tin (Route Twisk) and Kap Lung from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm on 30 March and 4 April 2025. As these measures may affect visitors to Tai Lam Country Park, the public are advised to use public transport.

Due to landslides and fallen trees caused by typhoon and rainstorm, certain forest tracks and trails within Shing Mun Country Park are temporarily closed for maintenance until further notice (the location of the partially closed trail has been updated on 25 February 2025). Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Due to reconstruction works, the children's play equipment in the Nai Chung Barbecue Area within Ma On Shan Country Park is temporarily closed starting from 20 February 2025.  The reconstruction works are expected to be completed by 31 March 2025, after which the facilities will reopen.  We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Due to reconstruction works, a part of the Shing Mun Forest Track – Tai Shing Stream Section as shown on the map is temporarily closed to all vehicles from 14 August 2023 until further notice (the location of the partially closed section has been updated on 10 February 2025). Hikers will not be affected. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

The P.H.A.B. Barbecue Site public toilet, refreshment kiosk, and water filling station within Aberdeen Country Park are temporarily closed for reconstruction works from 13 February 2025 (Thursday) until further notice. Visitors may use the temporary public toilet nearby. We apologise for the inconvenience caused

Due to facilities reconstruction works, the below rain shelter in Barbecue Site No.1 in Tai Tam Country Park (Quarry Bay Extension) is temporarily closed until further notice. Please use rain shelters nearby if necessary.

Due to improvement work, The Climbers, Rock Academy, Rock & Mineral Corner, a grassland next to the Net House located at Lions Nature Education Centre, Sai Kung, will be temporarily closed from 24 December 2024 until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

The Bride’s Pool public toilet within Pat Sin Leng Country Park is temporarily closed for reconstruction works from 28 October 2024 (Monday) until further notice. Visitors may use the temporary public toilet nearby. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

The public toilet at Tai Long Sai Wan beach will be temporarily closed for maintenance until further notice. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Farmland rehabilitation within private lots in Yi O Kau Tsuen and Yi O San Tsuen is in progress, the land owners do not allow unauthorized access to those villages. The affected sections of Lantau Trail Section 7 passing through those villages will be diverted. Visitors who wish to come and go to Fan Lau, Kau Ling Chung or Tai O are advised to choose alternative routes as shown on the maps at scene.
